Floating Dock Questions
What is a floating dock?
A floating dock sits on the water instead of on posts, cribs or pilings. It rises and falls with the water level, so the walking surface stays at a steady height above the water. EZ Dock builds its floating docks from modular sections that lock together.
How is a floating dock different from a fixed dock?
A fixed dock stands on legs fixed to the lakebed, so the water level changes how far you step up or down. A floating dock moves with the water, which suits lakes and rivers where levels shift through the season. It also goes together from sections, so it can be reconfigured or extended later.
How long does an EZ Dock last?
EZ Dock systems are built for a 30+ year lifespan. The sections are made for Canadian ice and water conditions and need very little maintenance.
Can I add to my dock later?
Yes. Because the system is modular, you can start with a simple walkway and add an L, T or U shape, a PWC port, a boat port or a kayak launch as your needs change.
Do you install floating docks, or is it a do-it-yourself job?
We sell, install and service EZ Dock across Northern Ontario. The same local team that designs and installs your dock is the one you call for service afterwards.
How much does a floating dock cost?
It depends on the size, shape and add-ons you choose. Use the EZ Dock dock designer to sketch your layout, then send it to us and we'll price it for your property.
Which areas do you serve?
We are Northern Ontario's exclusive EZ Dock dealer, serving Muskoka, Parry Sound, Sudbury, North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins and the surrounding region.
